Nameserver

A name server is responsible for handling requests for a domain name. Name servers are what allow a domain name to point to its web, e-mail, or other servers where the content is hosted.

The nameserver is usually provided by the hosting provider or Internet Service Provider. The nameserver for a domain name must contain the name records for your domain to work.
